Everything document generation needs. Nothing it doesn't.

DocRoute replaces a sprawling document toolchain with a single, opinionated Salesforce managed package — built for Salesforce admins who want enterprise capabilities without a six-month implementation.

What's in the box
✏️

WYSIWYG Template Builder

Drag-and-drop canvas with a professional rich text editor. Font controls, color pickers, table editing, multi-column layouts, and a page ruler that mirrors the exact PDF output dimensions.

🎯

Rules-Based Template Selection

Define criteria once — field values, record types, opportunity stages — and DocRoute picks the right template automatically. No manual selection by reps, no wrong documents sent.

🔗

Multi-Object Data Assembly

Pull from Quote, Account, Opportunity, Contacts, Line Items, custom objects — all in one template. Multi-object merge syntax with aggregates, sorting, and conditionals.

📑

Enterprise-Grade PDF, Your Way

Pixel-perfect output — CSS Grid, custom web fonts, running headers, and automatic "Page N of M". Prefer a different engine? Swap it in via a clean plug-and-play adapter interface.

✍️

Provider-Agnostic E-Signature

Dispatch envelopes to DocuSign or Adobe Sign from the same button. Callbacks update Salesforce automatically. Swap signature providers without touching your templates.

⚙️

Flow, Quick Actions & Apex API

Trigger generation from a record-page Quick Action, a Flow automation, an Invocable Action, or a REST call. Build auto-generate-on-quote-sync flows without writing code.

Architecture

100% on-platform — with optional callouts on your terms.

Document generation runs inside Salesforce as Apex batch + queueable jobs. The Lightning Web Component UI lives in your org. The only outbound traffic is what you explicitly enable — DocuSign or Adobe Sign dispatch — and that traffic goes directly from your org to your e-signature provider, on your contracts with them. No middleware between Salesforce and the providers.

Where it runs

Apex batch + queueable inside your Salesforce org. The PDF renderer ships with the package; swap in your own via the adapter interface.

Where documents live

Salesforce Files. Versioned per generation; rollback and version comparison on Growth tier and up.

Outbound traffic

DocuSign or Adobe Sign dispatch only when you enable it. No license-server pings, no telemetry.
